Criminality is not believed to be a factor in Pawandeep Singh’s death, police said in a news release.

The 27-year-old was last spotted on Nov. 5 on 171A Street near 84th Avenue, and had last spoken to a family member by phone on Nov. 20.

Singh was reported missing five days later. At the time, Mounties said family and friends were worried about his wellbeing.

Singh had been driving a grey 2021 Kia Forte with the BC licence plate PJ9 91A.

“Surrey RCMP offers our sincerest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased,” the detachment wrote.
