Man, 23, punched in face during Dartmouth mugging

HALIFAX – According to police, a 23-year-old man was punched in the face during a mugging in Dartmouth.

At 7:50 p.m. on Monday, the victim was approached by two men on Nantucket Avenue. One man grabbed the victim’s cellphone while the other punched the victim in the face. The victim was assessed at the scene and did not suffer significant injuries.

Police said the first suspect is a white man in his early 20s. He was wearing dark clothing, with his hood pulled over his head.

The other suspect is described as a light-skinned black man, who is approximately 6-feet-tall. The man was wearing a grey vest and black tuque.

Police said they are still investigating the case.
