A commercial building in Montreal North was the target of an alleged arson late Monday.
Police were alerted to the scene near the intersection of Boulevard Industriel and Avenue de Bruxelles at 11:30 p.m. A passerby had called police after noticing flames were seen inside an auto repair garage.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. Officials deemed the damage to be minor and no injuries were reported, police say.
Evidence of a Molotov cocktail was found at the scene. Montreal police’s arson squad has taken over the investigation.
Investigators will be visiting the scene later on Tuesday.
