Beyond the Conversation is hosting the 2nd annual “Walk to End Social Isolation” in search for solutions to this modern epidemic. This is an inclusive, exciting, multicultural event that brings together the communities of Greater Vancouver.
Participants will gather in the Plaza of Nations at 750 Pacific Boulevard at 9:30 AM. At 10:00 AM we walk along the sea wall towards Olympic Village Square by the Creekside Community Centre. Additional events, speeches, group conversations, card-making and more will take place between 10:45 AM and 2:00 PM.
We welcome people of all ages from all communities and backgrounds to participate, meet new friends, hear real story of struggles, and enjoy other activities. The walk is fairly easy, so people with physical challenges will be able to complete it.
Beyond the Conversation is a volunteer-led initiative driven to foster a sense of belonging, self-confidence, and connection to our communities. Our purpose is to engage, empower and inspire our citizens to stay connected while building vibrant and flourishing communities.
