A multicultural dinner to celebrate Vancouver Women’s Health Collective’s 45th Anniversary. The evening will feature foods and performers from across the globe. October 21/17 at 5 pm. Tickets are $45. Elder Roberta will welcome all guests with a traditional blessing and Victor Thompson from Urban Haida Group joined by Corrina Russ will interpret traditional Haida songs. Featured dance performances from local artists include an exclusive and creative duo of Andrea William’s Flamenco and Ashley Rhianne’s Oriental dance, famed and dynamic Jackie A. Yenga with drummer Yoro Noussouki, a unique appearance of Sega dancer Elvis Antoine and Egyptian-style bellydancing with Noelle! Start early on your holiday gifts with our silent auction, and cheers with us thanks to a cash bar. Your support will help fund VWHC health and wellness programs benefiting women who are living in and around Vancouver’s Inner City. The event will be MC’ed by Vancouver’s Theresa Lalonde.
