One person died in the collision on Monday, which involved three vehicles and happened around 7:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes just before the 176th Street exit in Surrey.
Mounties began investigating the case after victims in Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario reported being extorted by someone they’d met on social media.

‘We got the call on Saturday evening that this bear was curled up on the middle of the road and somebody shooed it off the road,’ Angelika Langen said.
