The RCMP in Kitimat are looking into two separate incidents involving tampered Halloween candy.
In one case, candy had a screw lodged inside and in the other, there was a pin hidden in the candy.
Last week, a Langley resident found a sewing pin in a KitKat bar her toddler niece received when she went trick-or-treating on Halloween.
Over the weekend, Prince Rupert RCMP had to issue a warning after a vigilant parent found a pin in a Coffee Crisp chocolate bar.
Mounties are urging parents to double check their children’s Halloween candy.
They say if anything suspicious is found, they are asking parents to put the candy aside and report it to police.
Anyone having information on who might be responsible for the two incidents in Kitimat is asked to call the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
