TORONTO – Several Toronto media organizations, including Global News, will be in court today over documents in the case of Mayor Rob Ford’s friend, Alexander Lisi.

Lawyers for Global News and other outlets received documents of about 480 pages on Monday.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Media lawyers, Lisi’s counsel and the crown will argue before a Superior Court judge about when these documents can be made public and how much of it should be released.

The information was used by police to obtain search warrants to investigate Lisi who was arrested in a drug bust earlier this month.

It also details what police know about Mayor Ford’s friend who also acts as his occasional driver.
