Four people have been arrested after a lengthy standoff in east Vancouver yesterday afternoon.
The incident started close to 5 p.m. resulting in traffic being blocked around a busy area of Kingsway.
The Vancouver Police Department’s emergency response team surrounded a home near Kingsway and Knight Street, firing flash-bang grenades and tear gas.
Police say the standoff began after they executed a search warrant because the home was believed to contain stolen property.
Two men and two women were ultimately taken into the custody. No one was hurt and charges are still being determined.
