TORONTO – The Obama family welcomed its second dog, Sunny, to the White House on Monday, giving Bo a playmate.

Like Bo, Sunny is a Portuguese Water Dog, a breed of dog the works well for the Obamas because of family allergies, the White House said.

The White House has seen a number of First Pets over the years, from John F. Kennedy’s pony Macaroni to Bill Clinton’s cat Socks.

Global News takes a look at a selection of photos of presidents with their pets.
