Three charged in northern Sask. drug bust

LA RONGE, Sask. – Three people have been charged with drug trafficking after a traffic stop in northern Saskatchewan on Monday evening.

Police pulled the vehicle over on Highway 2 south of La Ronge.

Officers found approximately one-point-two pounds of marijuana inside the vehicle.

A 32-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman from La Ronge and a 30-year-old Prince Albert man were arrested.

All three are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 15.
