Bike to Work Week hopes to encourage commuters to leave their cars at home.
The event runs from May 27 to June 2 in the Lower Mainland.
Commuter stations are set up on busy routes today, complete with power bars, tune ups and of course, coffee.
Last year saw the highest participation ever, with 19,439 participants, up from 15,203 in 2011.
903,215 kilometers were cycled during last year’s event, saving 209,610 kilograms of CO2 were saved from entering the atmosphere.
