School closures and bus cancellations for April 12, 2013

TORONTO – Wintery weather has forced several bus cancellations and school closures in the Greater Toronto Area.

Here’s a list of closures:

Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board says buses cancelled, however, schools remain open.

Peel District and Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board says all buses in Caledon and Dufferin County are cancelled, however, schools remain open.

Buses servicing all schools in Simcoe County have been cancelled.

Buses servicing all schools in Halton District School Board and Halton Catholic District School Board north of Steeles Avenue have been cancelled.

Buses have been cancelled and schools are closed in Wellington-Dufferin County.

Buses servicing all schools in Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board are cancelled, however, schools remain open.

Buses servicing schools in Durham District School Board and Durham Catholic District School Board have been cancelled for schools north of Hwy. 7.

Waterloo Region District School Board says Baden, Sir Adam Beck, Wellesley, Floradale, Linwood, Three Bridges, Waterloo-Oxford D.S.S. schools are closed for the day. Schools and transportation in all other areas are open and running.

Exams have been cancelled at Lakehead University in Orillia due to weather.

Fleming College campuses are closed.

Georgian College campuses in Orangeville, Owen Sound, Collingwood and Muskoka are closed today.

If you attend a private school or a career college, call ahead before heading out to class.
