Monday is Bike to Work Day in Hamilton and Burlington.
You’re being encouraged to cycle to work in an effort to improve your health, reduce air pollution and road congestion.

Proponents say biking to work also saves you money in gasoline and parking.
You can also register online to win prizes.
Bike to Work Day is also the kickoff to Bike Month, which runs from today to June 30.
And starting Monday, cyclists can ride the HSR free up the escarpment to the James Mountain Road-West 5th Cut.
You’re required to get off at the first stop at the top or bottom of the mountain, otherwise you’d have to pay the full fare.
