Norfolk county OPP are investigating a crash that left one person dead Sunday afternoon, northeast of Port Dover.
Police and paramedics were called shortly before 4 p.m. to a collision on Highway 6 between East Quarter Line Road and Second Concession Woodhouse, involving a pickup truck and a farm tractor.
Investigators say the tractor was headed south on the shoulder when a southbound Ram pickup truck collided with the back of the tractor.
The tractor went off the road and into the ditch where it rolled, and the man who was driving, 21, was thrown from it. He was identified by police late Monday morning as Travis O’Brien of Norfolk County.
According to the OPP, O’Brien was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 55-year-old Haldimand County man driving the pickup truck wasn’t hurt.
Officers haven’t released the victim’s name at this time and the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
