Argonauts to celebrate Grey Cup victory with parade

TORONTO – Fresh off a dominating 35-22 Grey Cup victory over the Calgary Stampeders at the Rogers Centre Sunday night, the Toronto Argonauts will be sharing their accomplishment with fans at a downtown parade Tuesday morning.

The players will be riding pick-up trucks beginning at Wellington St. & Yonge St. at 11:30 a.m. and travel west to Bay St., then turn north on Bay St. and reach Nathan Phillips Square where the team will be greeted by Mayor Rob Ford to proclaim November 27th as Toronto Argonauts Day.

The procession will be led by a Toronto Police Ceremonial Unit and Pipe Band, two Toronto Police historical vehicles, Toronto Fire Pipe and Drum Bands, Toronto Fire Li’ Red Antique Fire Truck, Toronto Fire Command Unit, Toronto Firefighters’ Ware Veterans Association Colour Guard, Toronto EMS Ambulance and Honour guard, TTC Honour Guard and Commission car as well as the St. Michael’s Drumline.

The Argos’ Grey Cup victory is their 16th in team history.
