His parents, Robyn and Chris said they want to use the crash as a reminder for people who choose to drive drunk.

“If just one person, just even one person tonight, it stops them from going out and drinking and driving, or just finding a safe ride home, just do it,” Robyn said.
The Pollock family said they were told by emergency workers that if the crash had happened a second earlier, it could have been a very different outcome.
“This continues to happen and its stupidity.”
The four teenagers suffered only minor injuries such as whiplash and concussions.
Chris added that he attended Tanner Kaufmann’s funeral and is fed up with the amount of impaired drivers in the province.

“It’s baffling that this city and province refuses to use cabs or these companies that drive your vehicle home for as little as $30… when people go out to the bar and spend hundreds of dollars,” Chris said.
“People just need to really step back and say, ‘this can easily happen to anybody, and what are the steps that we’re going to take to prevent it?'” Robyn said.
