Chaotic transit commute coming next Monday
Big changes to Skytrain routes — along with a possible bus strike in one Metro Vancouver city — could make for a chaotic commute next Monday. Jill Bennett reports – Oct 21, 2016

TransLink introduced changes to the Expo and Millennium Line SkyTrain routes on Saturday.

The Millennium Line will no longer travel to Waterfront Station. Instead, the line will span from VCC-Clark to Lougheed Town Centre. The new Evergreen Line will act as an extension of the Millennium Line when it opens by Christmas.

Watch below:  There has been some confusion among transit users today as new route changes have come into effect. Jill Bennett reports.

The Expo Line, meanwhile, will have two routes: one travelling from Waterfront to King George, and the other riding from Waterfront to Production Way.

TransLink is reminding riders to familiarize themselves with the route changes to avoid confusion. The largest potential hiccup to commuters is that the Millennium Line will no longer continue to the southern Burnaby stations when travelling from VCC-Clark. SkyTrain customers will instead have to transfer to the Expo Line at Production Way or Lougheed Town Centre stations.
