Stephen Colbert mocked former congressman Anthony Weiner over his latest scandal on the Late Show Monday night.

It was just one month ago that Weiner appeared on Colbert’s DNC-themed Late Show to send a message to Bernie Sanders fans and joke about his past sexting scandals.

But on Monday, it was revealed by the New York Post (see below) that Weiner’s predilection for sexting wasn’t something he had left behind.

In his monologue, Colbert began by saying, “August is a notoriously slow news month, and it can be hard for me to find stuff to talk about. Fortunately, something popped up: Anthony Weiner. I just want to extend my thanks to him for rising to the occasion with his truly rock solid story.” Not being able to help himself, the host added with a smile, “Boner.”

Colbert went on to say that his “heart goes out” to Huma Abedin, Weiner’s wife who has since announced she’s leaving him.

“You know what they say: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, dammit, Anthony, just keep it in your pants until after the election!”

Colbert ended the long list of Weiner jokes by noting that the former congressman-turned-former mayoral candidate had been on his show recently. But “he didn’t talk about his penis then, did he?” he asked.

Colbert cut to clips of the show Weiner appeared on, which featured the alleged sexter talking about his last “eight years of remarkable growth.”
