Vancouver police closed down part of Commercial Drive overnight after a shooting sent a man to hospital.
Police say a 27-year-old man was shot near East 3rd Avenue and Templeton Street around 11:30 p.m. Friday. They later found the man near Commercial Drive and East 1st Avenue in the driver’s seat of his car, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say the man was taken to hospital in serious condition but he is expected to survive.
Police have yet to determine a motive for the shooting, but say there are indications that the shooting was targeted.
