Everyone is safe and accounted for after a house fire in Surrey early Thursday morning.
Flames broke out at the home on 63 Avenue and 147B Street at about 3:45 a.m.
There were two suites inside the home but all five residents and three pets got out safely.
The home had two basement suites, each with a renter. Originally there were reports one of the renters was unaccounted for but it was discovered she was away for the night and not in the home.
The fire may have started in her area of the house however.
The home did suffer severe damage, especially to the roof. Two other homes also suffered exposure damage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
