A further 10 to 20 mm is expected on Tuesday as the system moves slowly into south-central Manitoba.

Some areas could see local amounts of up to 25 mm, however Environment Canada says rainfall totals are highly variable depending on the track of the showers and the location of isolated thunderstorms.

States of emergency have been declared in some communities due to flooding.
