Nova Scotia RCMP say a 40-year-old man was stabbed in the mouth with a small knife in Lower Sackville.
The incident occurred next to the Rubber Duck Car Wash on Sackville Drive at around noon on Thursday.
Police say an 18-year-old man from Lower Sackville was arrested without incident at a nearby residence at around 2 p.m.. The suspect is being held in custody and faces charges of breach of conditions and assault with a weapon.
He will appear in Dartmouth Provincial court on Monday, June 4.
The two men are known to each other and police say this was not a random act.
The victim was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
