File: Red Deer RMP. File / Global News

RCMP have released surveillance footage after several firearms were stolen from a home in central Alberta.

The break-in happened Sunday, May 29, just before 6 a.m. in the Oriole Park neighbourhood in Red Deer. RCMP said the suspects broke into the side door of a detached garage from the back alley.

The thieves took a gun safe with six or seven long barrel firearms. Surveillance footage shows a man driving up in a newer-model dark grey Dodge Ram truck with chrome accents.

The man is seen placing items from the garage into his truck.

The suspect drove away, but returned a short time later with another truck described as a dark-coloured Dodge Dakota. Three or four men in dark clothing then loaded more items from the garage into the trucks, including the gun safe, and drove away.
