The Tragically Hip announced Monday the addition of four shows to the band’s Man Machine Poem Tour.
Citing an “overwhelming demand” during Monday morning’s fan club pre-sale, the Kingston, Ontario rockers added shows in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto.
“Thank you for the support in this morning’s registered users pre-sale. Due to overwhelming demand, the following four shows have been added to the Man Machine Poem Tour,” The Hip wrote on its Facebook page. “The registered users pre-sale will be available for these four additional shows Ticketmaster, beginning at 10am local time on Tuesday, May 31st.”

Here are the new dates:
July 26 – Vancouver, BC – Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena
July 30 – Edmonton, AB – Rexall Place
August 3 – Calgary, AB – Scotiabank Saddledome
August 14 – Toronto, ON – Air Canada Centre
Pre-sale tickets for The Tragically Hip’s final tour sold out quickly in Ontario after they went on sale Monday for members of the band’s fan club.

The rock band announced its farewell tour last week, following the announcement of The Hip’s frontman Gord Downie’s diagnosis of terminal brain cancer.
Members of the band’s fan club were given exclusive access to an undisclosed amount of tickets, with a purchase limit of four tickets per credit card.

The Man Machine Poem Tour starts on July 22 in Victoria, B.C. and runs through to August 20, where the band will play its final show in their hometown of Kingston.

August 20 – Kingston, ON
Tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, June 3.
