A central Alberta man is facing firearms charges after allegedly waving a gun in front of two teenage girls on Saturday night.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on May 28, two girls called police after encountering a suspicious man while getting into their vehicle on Weddell Crescent.

Mounties said the suspect waved what appeared to be a handgun at them, and shone a bright flashlight into their vehicle. At that point the teens drove away and called RCMP.

The suspect was found in an alley behind White Avenue and arrested. RCMP searched his nearby residence and seized three handguns, two long barrel guns, and an airsoft pistol.
