A 17 year-old man from Moser River was the sole occupant in a fatal car crash Saturday night.
At 9:45 p.m. Sheet Harbour RCMP and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Highway 7.
A preliminary investigation determined that an eastbound vehicle pulled out to pass another vehicle. There was an oncoming vehicle in that passing lane.
As the driver attempted to switch lanes to avoid a collision, the car left the roadway.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 17 year-old man from Mosher Island, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
