A boy has been found safe after Calgary police launched a search Friday afternoon in the city’s southeast.
Police said the boy attends Saint Albert the Great Catholic school and usually plays there before heading home.
The boy’s father identified him to Global News as a nine-year-old and said he was last seen walking home from school on Prestwick Circle S.E.
Officers set up a command post, and were seen searching a playground near the school just before 6 p.m.
His dad said he was found by 6:30 p.m.
