The Richmond RCMP have launched an investigation into what they are calling a serious assault.
It happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Thursday last week in the 7000-block of Minoru Boulevard.
Officers were called in for a report of a man being attacked. It is alleged that as many as three men were involved in the assault. All fled the scene in a vehicle.
The three suspects are all described as possibly in their early to mid-20s, but no other descriptors are available at this time.
The victim is a 20-year-old Vancouver man.
He was taken to hospital with multiple injuries including a laceration to the head and a broken arm. He is expected to make a full recovery.
He is known to police, and investigators believe it was a targeted attack.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Cpl. Will Howard of the Richmond RCMP Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) at 604-278-1212 or to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
