For the 45th straight season, the Vancouver Canucks will not win the Stanley Cup.
The Canucks lost to the St. Louis Blues 4-0 tonight, officially eliminating themselves from playoff contention.
The loss, Vancouver’s seventh in a row, keeps them tied for the second-worst record in the NHL, behind only the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Kyle Brodziak, Robby Fabbri, Carl Gunnarsson and Joel Edmundson all scored for St. Louis, who are tied for first in the Western Conference with 97 points.
St. Louis outshot Vancouver 37-15. The Canucks next play Sunday night against the Chicago Blackhawks.
