EDMONTON — After nearly two months out of the game, the Edmonton Oilers activated Ryan Nugent-Hopkins from the injured reserve list Friday.

The 22-year-old centre injured his right hand in a game against the Florida Panthers on Jan. 18 when he blocked a shot with his glove.

“The knuckle kind of got knocked off a bit and they just had to go in and put it back in place, put a couple screws in,” Nugent-Hopkins said on Feb. 19 when he returned to practice with the team.

Nugent-Hopkins has played in 46 games with the Oilers this season, registering 30 points (eight goals and 22 assists) and 14 penalty minutes.

The Oilers face the Arizona Coyotes Saturday night at Rexall Place.
