WINNIPEG — Manitoba Hydro is planning to interrupt power to approximately 1,700 customers in Winnipeg’s Elmwood neighbourhood Sunday morning.
The outage is expected to begin at 6 a.m. and last for 30 minutes. Street lights on Nairn Avenue and Talbot Avenue between Grey and Panet Road will also be affected by the outage.
The outage is needed to switch the area’s electrical supply over to a new substation which will enhance service reliability in the area according to a Manitoba Hydro news release.
The boundaries of the outage are:
- Manhattan Avenue to Castle Avenue to the north
- Nairn Avenue to the south
- Stapleton Street to the east
- Gateway Road to the west
