There were no injuries in a four-car pileup that stalled traffic on Highway 111 just before the MacKay bridge.
Halifax Regional Police say the cars suffered extensive damage and have all been towed, but the cause of the collision hasn’t been determined.
The crash was reported to police at 8:50 Saturday morning. The collision briefly stopped northbound traffic heading towards the MacKay bridge on the Dartmouth side. It was the only bridge to cross the harbour this morning, because the Macdonald was closed for ongoing deck replacement work.
Halifax Harbour Bridge’s patrol officers also responded to the scene.
