EDMONTON — Edmonton police were called to a west end neighbourhood Monday night after several reports of shots being fired.
Police responded to the area of 103 Avenue and 138 Street at around 7:30 p.m.
Staff Sgt. Colin Leathem said officers found several shell casings in the intersection.
There were no reports of any property damage, Leathem said.
Officers went door-to-door to ask residents if they saw or heard anything out of the ordinary Monday night. Police also checked in with local hospitals, but Leathem said no one was admitted with gunshot wounds.
Police would like to speak with the occupants of a white or silver VW Jetta and a pick-up truck that were seen in the area Monday night.
The incident is still under investigation.
Police were also called to a report of shots fired on the city’s north side later Monday night, but it’s not known if the two incidents are connected.
