A 46-year-old Halifax woman is facing charges of impaired driving, refusal to take breathalyzer and flight from police after an incident early Friday morning.
Halifax Regional Police attempted to stop the woman driver on Purcell’s Cove Road near Battery Drive around 2 a.m. Police say the woman refused to stop and eventually pulled into a driveway, backed into the police vehicle and fled on foot.
The woman was apprehended quickly and taken into custody.
There were no injuries in the incident and there was minor damage to the vehicles.
The woman will appear in court at a later date to face the charges.
