CALGARY – Police are searching for the persons responsible for an armed home invasion in the city’s southeast on Monday.
Investigators were called to a home in the 1400 block of 43 Street S.E. just after 6 a.m. after reports that several people had forced their way into the residence.
The suspects were armed with a shotgun and knives and were wearing masks.
Two people were at home at the time; one victim suffered minor injuries but didn’t require any medical assistance.
Investigators said Monday they had responded to numerous calls at the residence previously.
“At this time, investigators believe this was a targeted incident,” said police in a news release.
Officers are searching for five or six suspects in connection to the attack, including one female, all of whom are believed to be between the ages of 18 to 25.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
