REGINA – Regina Police Service officers used a taser to subdue a man threatening to harm himself Wednesday night.
Officers were called to the 0-99 block of Cavendish St. just before 10:00 p.m. to respond to a report of a man threatening to harm himself.
They arrived to find the 45-year-old man in a basement where he attempted to harm himself with a knife. The officers deployed their tasers and took the man safely into custody.
The man was reportedly unharmed during the incident but was taken to hospital as a precaution. He is not facing any charges.
