CALGARY – Firefighters were called to a garage fire in southeast Calgary on Monday.
The blaze in the 2800 block of 11 Avenue S.E. sparked at around 8:40 a.m.
When they arrived, firefighters found thick black smoke coming from the detached garage and a shed.
Crews woke up two residents who were inside the home and helped them get out safely.
No injuries were reported.
Both the garage and shed sustained significant damage, as did a vehicle that was inside the garage. No neighbouring homes were damaged.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
