TORONTO – A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to a sexual assault that took place at the Langstaff GO Transit station earlier this month.
Police allege a 24-year-old woman was walking on a pedestrian walkway towards the bus platform when a man ran up from behind, tackled her and climbed on top of her.
The suspect then allegedly asked the woman to have sex with him.
Police said the woman then fought off the suspect, scratching his face in the process, before he rose to his feet and ran from the area.
The suspect has been identified as Giovan Campbell and faces one count of sexual assault and another for criminal harassment.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 9.
