WATCH: Possible abduction caught on camera in downtown Calgary

CALGARY – Police are investigating a possible abduction caught on camera in the city’s downtown core on Wednesday.

It happened on Stephen Avenue near 1 Street S.W. around 10 p.m.

Dash cam footage captured by a taxi shows two vehicles, a blue Dodge Calibre and a grey Chevy Cruz, stop near a group of men on Stephen Avenue.

Two men jump out of the vehicles and grab another man, forcing him to get into the grey Chevy Cruz.

It then appears one of the men used the Dodge Calibre to deliberately block traffic so the Chevy Cruz was able to make a clean getaway.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying the individual that was forced into the vehicle.

Police are concerned for the safety of the man, and asking anyone who knows who he is or who witnessed the event to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
