WEST KELOWNA — A West Kelowna business has been the target of vandalism four times since March.
The latest destruction was captured on surveillance video.
Luke Sumpantarat and his wife own Thai Fusion restaurant.
He says the vandalism is having an impact on the business’ bottom line.
“It’s so many times and it’s hard for the business to make any money when you’re always closed all the time,” says Sumpantarat.
The first couple of times the windows were broken in the restaurant, Sumpantarat says he thought the attacks were random. Now he’s wondering if he’s being targeted.
He says when the restaurant first opened five years ago, he received a phone call from someone, who said there wasn’t room for another Thai restaurant in West Kelowna.
Sumpantarat is hesitant to jump to conclusions about who might be vandalizing his business, but he does expect them to return.
“I do think so. Unfortunately. I’m staring at my camera all the time now.”
