REGINA – A Saskatchewan Department of Environment and Resource Management (SERM) member received minor injuries after being struck and dragged by an ATV in Duck Mountain Provincial Park on Saturday.
RCMP say that around 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon two SERM members attempted to stop an ATV in the park but the vehicle (with a driver and one passenger) fled.
The members pursued the ATV on foot and at one point one of the officers was struck by the vehicle and dragged for a short distance. He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries described as minor.
The male driver of the ATV has been charged with four Criminal Code offences and one count of Assault on a Peace Officer.
