RCMP are investigating after a man was found stabbed in Surrey early this morning.
It happened shortly after midnight on Monday. Officers received calls of shots heard in the area of 184 Street and 92 Avenue.
Once on scene, officers found a man with significant injuries. He has been transported to a regional trauma hospital, where it was determined his injuries were not life threatening.
Initially, investigators said the man was shot at. But they are now saying the report of shots fired was unsubstantiated and the man was stabbed.
Officers on the scene conducted a thorough examination of the area and were not able to substantiate that there was a shooting in the area.
Investigators say the incident does not appear to be a random act.
92 Avenue was closed between 184 Street and 187 Street as investigators gathered evidence, but traffic seems to be flowing fine in the area now.
