Saskatoon Fire Department chief retiring

SASKATOON – After 31 years with the Saskatoon Fire Department, Chief Dan Paulsen is hanging up his uniform.

Paulsen was hired on with the service in 1984. He worked his way up to interim chief and when former chief Brian Bentley retired, Paulsen replaced him taking the top dog position in 2013.

At 60 years of age, he’s reached his mandatory retirement and will work his last day with the service on July 31.

His plans for retirement include spending time with his two-year-old granddaughter and exploring some hobbies.
