A 19-year-old had her arm amputated after she was struck by a train in Surrey early Saturday morning.
Surrey RCMP say a group, who may have been drinking, were walking near the tracks at Old Yale Road and Timberland Road just after midnight when they apparently tried to jump onto an oncoming train.

As the train slowed to switch tracks, the 19-year old slipped and her arm was run over by the train. She is expected to survive.
There were no other injuries and police are continuing their investigation.
