REGINA – A 34-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a police officer after being pulled over for suspected impaired driving.

The Regina Police Service says Bradley Oxby was stopped by officers around 6:00 a.m. Saturday on Parliament Avenue.

The suspect allegedly assaulted an officer, before being tased by a second officer. Once the man was arrested, police report finding stolen items, cocaine and steroids in the car.

Oxby faces six charges, including drug possession, assaulting police and impaired driving. He’ll make his first court appearance Monday.

One of the officers sustained minor injuries, while police say the suspect was not hurt.
