Another robbery at Mac’s Convenience store in Kelowna

KELOWNA – Kelowna RCMP are investigating after another robbery at Mac’s Milk Convenience store early Sunday morning. It happened in the 2100 block of Richter Street.

“A lone male suspect entered the store and approached the clerk,” says Corporal Joe Duncan with Kelowna RCMP. “The suspect asked for two packages of cigarettes which the clerk provided.”

Duncan says the suspect then demanded an undisclosed amount of cigarette packages to be placed in a bag, indicating it was a robbery.

“As the suspect approached to take the bag from the clerk, he sprayed the clerk with pepper spray,” says Duncan. “The suspect fled the scene.”

Duncan says RCMP members along with a police service dog attended the area but weren’t able to find out which way the man went. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with a thin build, approximately five feet and eight inches tall. He is 20 to 30 years of age, is unshaven, speaks English and was wearing a black t-shirt with a dark coloured jacket over top. He also had dark gloves and a dark baseball cap with stickers on the brim. There was another robbery at the same convenience store on Tuesday, May 12. Anyone with information about either robbery is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
