TORONTO – Toronto police have identified the victim of a west-end Toronto shooting as 33-year-old Marlon Lennox Mason.
Police were called to Campbell Ave. in the Bloor and Landsdowne area around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday for reports of gunfire.
Not long afterwards, the victim was dropped off by friends at Toronto Western Hospital with gunshot wounds. Mason died of his injuries in hospital.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Police shut down a portion of Campbell Ave. for the investigation. There’s no word on any suspects.
Officials are asking for the public’s assistance in the homicide investigation into Mason’s death. Detectives ask anyone with any information to contact police.
