VANCOUVER – Surrey RCMP is trying to find 24-year-old Emmannuel Dario to bring him to court to be sentenced for his crimes.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
On July 8, 2012, Dario was involved in an altercation in Cloverdale with a group of teens on a bus. He was convicted of two counts of aggravated assault for his part in the brawl. Police said at the time, Dario and a friend were driving through the area, at Highway 10 and 176 Street, and some of the youth were standing in the road. A confrontation erupted between the groups and the car Dario was riding in was damaged. That is when the men got out and began to fight with the teens. The situation quickly escalated. Dario grabbed a 2×4 piece of wood and hit at least three of the teens.
On October, 28, 2014, Dario was convicted of aggravated assault and ordered to return to court for sentencing on March 5, 2015.
However, he failed to show. A warrant was issued for aggravated assault, failing to appear on a recognizance, and failing to appear on a court order.
Dario is described as a 24-year-old black male, 6’3” tall, 179 pounds., a thin build, bald, brown eyes, with a scar on his right arm.
Police say if you spot Dario, call 9-1-1. Anyone with more information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca.
