VANCOUVER – Whistler RCMP is asking for the public’s help in their search for a missing 19-year-old Australian man.

Jake Kermond has been visiting Whistler since early March. On April 26 he went skiing on Whistler Mountain and was seen that evening in the lobby of his hotel by the front desk staff. He was reported missing on April 30 when staff found the belongings in his room appear to have been abandoned.

Kermond was last seen wearing a green baggy ski jacket, a black and white baseball cap, and most likely, black pants. RCMP say they have been in contact with his parents in Australia and they have not heard from him.

If anyone has any information about Kermond’s whereabouts, please contact the Whistler RCMP at 604 932-3044.
